We started Utilize because
our own kids deserved better.
Utilize ABA was founded by a BCBA and a parent who'd both spent years inside ABA — one as a clinician, one as a mom — and decided the field needed a practice that took compassion as seriously as it took data.
Build skills. Protect autonomy. Honor the kid.
Modern ABA shouldn't look like the old rumors. We use what the research has earned — the systematic teaching, the data, the precision — and pair it with the assent-based, neurodiversity-affirming practice the field has been moving toward for the last decade.
That means we follow your child's lead. We watch what they're already trying to communicate. We build programs around play, not compliance.
Four principles, written on every door.
Assent first.
If a child is saying 'no' — with words, behavior, or body — we listen. Therapy that overrides a child's signals isn't therapy.
Plain language.
If we can't explain a goal or a procedure to you in a sentence, we're not ready to start it.
The whole family is the client.
Siblings, grandparents, the dog. Programs that ignore the system don't last past the session.
Joy is a clinical metric.
We measure compliance and acquisition — and we measure how often your child laughs during a session. Both matter.
Real clinicians. Real names. Real availability.
