Everything you need to know,
in plain language.

Insurance, intake, hours, what we do and don't do — written for parents, not insurance reps. If a question isn't answered here, ask us.

Getting started

From hello to first session.

Most families are in their first session within two to three weeks of the intake call.

We confirm your benefits and authorization in writing.

  3. 03

    Assessment & plan

A BCBA observes, listens, and drafts a plan you co-sign.

Frequently asked

Real questions from real parents.

Will my insurance cover ABA?

In most states, autism diagnosis triggers an ABA benefit on commercial plans, Tricare, and Medicaid. We verify your specific coverage during intake and tell you what to expect for copays, deductibles, and authorization timelines — in writing, before you start.

What does intake actually look like?

A free 20-minute call, then insurance verification, then a 6–10 hour assessment with a BCBA spread across 2–3 visits. We meet your child in their environment first. From there, your BCBA writes a treatment plan you co-sign before any direct sessions begin.

How much therapy does my child need?

It depends. Early-intervention kids (under 5) often benefit from 20–35 hours/week. School-age kids more often land at 8–15 hours. We make a recommendation, and we revisit it every 6 months. More is not always better.

What's the difference between a BCBA and an RBT?

Your BCBA is the master's-level clinician who designs and supervises your child's program. RBTs are the trained behavior technicians who run direct sessions. Both are essential. A BCBA is on every case, every week — non-negotiable.

Do you use 'old-school' ABA — DTT, compliance training, restraint?

No. We don't use restraint or seclusion, ever. We use Discrete Trial Teaching only when a child genuinely benefits from it, and always within a play-based, assent-respecting framework. If a child says no — with words, behavior, or body — we listen.

Can you work with my child's school or pediatrician?

Yes, and we usually do. With your written consent, we coordinate with IEP teams, classroom teachers, OTs, SLPs, and pediatricians. Continuity of care matters.

Are you neurodiversity-affirming?

Yes. We don't aim to make autistic kids 'less autistic.' We aim to expand what they can do, what they can ask for, and what feels good in their day. The goal is autonomy and connection — not normalcy.

Still wondering if it's a fit?

A 20-minute call usually answers more than an hour of reading. We'd love to meet your family.
